Welcome to the Computerwerk Software Repository. Here you can find software developed and used by Computerwerk Darmstadt. We are a non-profit organization from Darmstadt (Germany) that collects, refurbishes and distributes used computer hardware.

Our inventory management system allows us to track each item from the day it arrives at our workshop until the day we give it away. Hardware parameters are catalogued, each item's status and location is tracked. All information about an item can easily be accessed using an integrated barcode scanner. Implemented in Django and Python3. An integration into Nextcloud and LDAP is provided.

hddtool-rs

This utility installs hard drives with an operating system image and wipes previous data from the disk. Supports installing multiple disks at the same time. We use this to wipe all incoming hard drives and install them with Xubuntu Linux. The system image is enlarged to utilize the full hard drive after copying it. Implemented in Rust.
